Total travel time from the New York area to Fukuoka is about 17 hours. The flight from New York to Tokyo is approximately 14 hours in the air. The domestic connection from Tokyo to Fukuoka is 2 hours.

While there is English support at the major tourist attractions, and at major transportation hubs, most Japanese Citizens do not speak English. We highly recommend downloading Google Translate prior to arrival. Google translate also has a feature where it will translate words or phrases in a photograph; extremely useful for those that want to explore local restaurants and Izakayas.
We will be providing a shuttle service from the Hilton Sea Hawk to the venue; however, for those that will be utilizing a different accommodation option we recommend booking a taxi either to the venue or to the Hilton. Uber is also available in Fukuoka.
We are providing blocked off rooms exclusively at the Hilton. We chose the Hilton mainly for its proximity to the venue, and other attractions our overseas guests can enjoy within arms reach of the hotel. Having said that, on the "Travel" tab we provide numerous accommodation options at various price points for those looking to customize their travel experience.
The overall dress code will be Formal, Black Tie Optional. Servicemembers are encouraged to wear their Uniforms, if they so desire. For those that opt to wear their uniform, the Uniform of the Day will be Dinner Dress Blues with Ribbons (medals optional)
