Question

Where can I find information for U.S. Citizens Traveling to Japan?

Answer

Please see the link below for important information U.S. Citizens should be aware of when traveling to Japan. We may not be able to answer all of your questions, but we can refer you to the proper resources! https://jp.usembassy.gov/services/welcomebacktojapan/

Question

Do I need a translation app?

Answer

While there is English support at the major tourist attractions, and at major transportation hubs, most Japanese Citizens do not speak fluent English. We highly recommend downloading Google Translate prior to arrival. Google translate also has a feature where it will translate words or phrases in a photograph; extremely useful for those that want to explore local restaurants and Izakayas.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

There is no strict dress code, but we recommend either Formal Wear, or Cocktail Attire.

Question

Will the wedding be Japanese or Western Style?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be more in line with a traditional Japanese ceremony with Western elements. We will release a more detailed schedule as we get closer to the wedding date, but for those interested in reading about Japanese style weddings, please see the following article: https://www.japan-experience.com/plan-your-trip/to-know/understanding-japan/weddings
