For those wishing to stay nearby, there’s a small beach just behind Tupper Manor and the Wylie Inn. It might not be the best for swimming, but it’s a good place for an ocean-side stroll and some sun
Kayak or canoe all around the Charles river with some awesome views of the Boston skyline!
Take a stroll through the Charles River esplanade - perfect for watching the sailboats and meeting some local pups!
A Boston classic! Be sure to check out the Make Way for the Ducklings display, the Frog Pond and the Swan Boats.
Newbury Street and Copley Square are often cited first for their shopping, but for some local crafts, food trucks, and beer garden, SoWa (otherwise known as South of Washington) in Boston’s South End can't be beat!
Cafeteria-style eating meets trendy foodie pop-up restaurants. Come take your pick from lots of favorite Boston restaurants, and be sure to check out the Trillium beer garden (a local favorite)
Take a tour and try some classic Boston beers at Sam Adams
One of our favorite restaurants, boasting some delicious Asian fusion tapas! Great for couples or groups, but we definitely recommend making a reservation in advance if you can. Order the Singapore Street Noodles. You’ll thank us later.
One of our go-to date nights. The tapas are perfect for sharing and even though it’s known as a wine bar, we can’t resist their cocktails. We suggest making a reservation, but if you’re waiting, Banyan next door has some great drinks.
Pronounced like “latte,” Tatte is a walk-in coffee and brunch spot. You'll often find us there on the weekends, chowing down on their lamb shakshuka (Brian) or tartines (Leah). We’ve highlighted the location in our neighborhood, but there are Tattes in other locations throughout Boston and Cambridge. Trust us, it won’t feel like a chain.
Take a walk around the Salem Harbor and check out the boats and some cute local stores
We had a really delicious brunch here and the dinner menu looked great too.
Can’t recommend a trip to Salem without recommending a trip to the witch museum. We haven’t had a chance to check this out yet, but it’s on our tourists-in-our-own-city list!
Salem has tons of cute shops to explore as well as some curious street vendors (after all, why should Halloween be limited to just one day?).
