After a few months of parties at a mutual friends house and group hang outs, one night Brian offered to venture to Bellevue, a trek most of Kiki's friends wouldn't even take, to hang out one-on-one. Being kids and having nowhere to go, we talked on a trampoline under the stars for 5 hours straight, eating ice cream, drinking sparkling apple juice, and laughing until it started to rain. Despite the chemistry and Kiki casually laying her head on Brian's shoulder, Brian hadn't made a move. Until a fateful night at a 90s themed party a few days later. From that night on it was a whirl wind romance and two weeks later in a Texas Roadhouse parking lot Brian asked me to officially be his girlfriend. Bonding over our love of thrillers, Reese's peanut butter cups, dogs, memes, and our mutually weird sense of humor, our love continued to grow.
A surprise trip to Disney World may have been a tip-off for Kiki, but she was still elated when I got down on one knee. We spent our first day wandering around Epcot, where I was constantly juggling the ring between pockets so she wouldn't discover it. On our way back to our resort I stopped a worker to take some photos of us, and the magical moment was perfectly preserved for us on our phones. After several hugs and kisses (and some tears), the shock dwindled and we immediately started thinking about our new lives together. Six sensational years had led to this moment, and we were both giddy with excitement about what lay ahead. We spent three more days in Disney World, exploring the parks and imagining how our story will unfold from here. We are thrilled to have you join us as we take the next step in our relationship, and thank you all of your love and support.
