Brian and I met through mutual friends. I had a crush on him for a long time but never got the courage to talk to him! One night at a local bar, The Reptile Palace, Brian came up to me and asked for my number, and the rest is history! Shortly after we had our first date at the movies and saw The Great Gatsby. I still have the movie ticket from that night! After getting to know each other that summer, we made our relationship 'official' on August 2, 2013 and have been happy ever since!

Brian and I knew we were going to get married someday, it was just a matter of when. In early 2019 he asked me to take him ring shopping so he would have an idea of what I liked, little did I know he would be purchasing a ring a few months later! The last weekend in July 2019, Brian was house sitting at his mom's in New Glarus, WI. He asked me if I wanted to come and spend the weekend there with him, so I took the time off to do so. On Sunday, July 28, 2019, we decided to explore New Glarus. We started by going to the New Glarus Brewery and explored the grounds while sampling beers. We also went to Bailey's Run Vineyard and did some wine tasting and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and live music. We also got a pint at the Hop Garden where Brian beat me in Hammerschlagen. After a fun day, we went back to his mom's house where we sat on the back porch overlooking the beautiful sunset. Brian said he was going to go in the house to grab a drink. A few moments later he walked out with a ring box in his hand and got down on one knee, and asked, "Will you marry me?" I was in complete shock, of course I said yes! Little did I know he had been hiding the ring in our garage since May, and my dad was the only one that knew about his proposal plan. We are both so excited to spend our special day surrounded by family and friends!
