The Celebration Continues!

On June 19, 2025 Brian and I got married in Santa Barbara, CA. It was a beautiful celebration, but we knew it wouldn’t be complete without sharing it with our loved ones in the Philippines and Hong Kong. This coming January, we are so excited to continue the celebration with all of you. We are looking forward to a fun evening filled with great food, music, and dancing. Most of all, we are excited to reconnect, make new memories, and warmly welcome the Chin Family into our extended circle of family and friends. The dress code is formal. Gentlemen, please wear suit and tie. Ladies, dress to impress in your most elegant long gowns. Get ready to bring your A-game onto the dance floor! Thank you for being part of such a special time in our lives and we hope to see you there! -Jam

Our Story

In the fall of 2008, Jam and I met in Mrs. Conley’s freshman year English class. Little did I know that this timid girl from the Philippines would change my life. Jam was, and still is, incredibly shy. I was a smart-mouth, constantly arguing with the teacher, and making random jokes throughout the class period. Our real conversation started when Mrs. Conley decided to seat me next to Jam. Naturally, I introduced myself and eventually got her talking. From the start, we already had a lot in common- our values, beliefs, and principles seemed to line up. From that day on, we became inseparable. That simple hello quickly turned into a deep friendship - passing notes, making inside jokes, and phone calls that left both of us always wanting more time. We talked about everything - Kung Fu Panda, our favorite TV shows, our cultural backgrounds, pets, food - things that felt so simple yet meaningful. These seemingly random topics have woven the fabric of our relationship by providing the sturdy foundation that has endured 16 years and counting. Fast forward to November 11, 2023, the day I proposed. Throughout the day leading up to the proposal, I was extremely nervous and conspicuously absent-minded. At the beach, I faked a knee injury and then stayed down on one knee and asked Jam to marry me. Luckily, she was foolish enough to say yes! -Brian
