Things To Do

The Wedding Website of India Sidwell and Brian Sims
When you first step foot in Bend, the reasons we want to get married here become clear. Aside from the incredible beauty of the landscape, Bend is a hub for the beer and wine connoisseur, the foodie, the hiker, and even the artist. If the award winning restaurants, array of breweries and wineries, or the art exhibits aren’t for you, there are plenty of fun family-friendly activities, as well! Explore Bend’s ancient lava tubes in a cave tour, shop in the Old Mill District, or test your knowledge at the High Desert museum. At the end of the day, stay in a modern hotel room, or in one of the many beautiful rustic cabins Bend has to offer. Either way, you won’t be disappointed!

High Desert Museum

59800 U.S. 97, Bend, OR 97702
, (541) 382-4754

"Otters, porcupines, owls, oh my! Encounter wildlife up close, explore the history and culture of the wild West and take in beautiful art. The High Desert Museum is a cultural gem set on 135 acres of awe. It’s no wonder visitors voted us one of the best things to do in Bend Oregon!"

Shevlin Park

18920 Northwest Shevlin Park Road, Bend, OR 97701

This happens to be the location of the wedding, but it is also a local favorite for trails! From downtown Bend, it only takes 10 or so minutes to get there. Shevlin Park is chock-full of trails. If you just do the loop, it’s about 6 miles. But if you’re interested in extending your run, there are several trails that branch off from the loop. If you like an obstacle course feel to a trail run, visit Shevlin Park — you won’t be disappointed.

Old Mill District

Old Mill District

450 Southwest Powerhouse Drive, Bend, OR 97702
, (541) 312-0131

"Looking for what to do in Bend, Oregon? The Old Mill District is much more than a shopping mall. We mix your love of shopping, dining, and the outdoors into one spectacular place. Riverside restaurants, trails, shops and shows… Bend is here!"

Deschutes Brewery Bend Public House

"Our original Public House has been a vibrant fixture of the downtown Bend, Oregon scene since 1988. Not only were our very first beers brewed here – think Black Butte Porter and Jubelale – but we quickly became a gathering spot for locals and visitors alike."

Cascade Cottons

"Cascade Cottons is Bend and Central Oregon’s premier resort apparel store. We have the area’s largest selection of Bend, Mt. Bachelor, and Central Oregon logo wear for the entire family. Featuring an extensive variety of quality and fashionable T-shirts, hoodies, fleeces, kids apparel, hats, souvenirs and accessories we have the keepsake memories you are searching for."
