Gabriella and Brian met at an outdoor music concert in Downtown Los Angeles through their best friends Tracey and Dan in September 2015. They went to a brewery, teamed up to completely dominate at cornhole (no one could beat them!), and couldn't stop laughing for hours. They became friends, though both secretly hoped to date someday. They went on their first date June 2, 2016 shortly after going on a long hike with Tracey and Dan (thanks guys!). Almost exactly six years later, they are so excited to marry and start this next chapter together!

In December 2020, Brian asked his parents to send him the engagement ring of his late grandmother, Julie McGuire May. Henry Thomas May proposed to Julie with this ring in 1946 on a Penn Central train to New York City, and they were married for nearly 42 years before he passed. On Christmas Eve 2020, Brian proposed to Gabriella in the front yard of her childhood home, and they feel honored and humbled to share this family heirloom as a symbol of their commitment to one another!
