Question

Orcas Island?!

Answer

Orcas Island is one of 172 islands in the San Juan Islands, a large chain of islands and rocks in northwestern Washington. Orcas Island is accessed via ferry or seaplane. Ferries to and from the Island depart from Anacortes, Washington, about a two hour drive from Seattle.

Question

Ferries, Ferries, Ferries

Answer

Ferries leave from Anacortes, Washington bound for Orcas Island (and three other San Juan Islands) multiple times a day. Most people drive their car on and off the ferry, though many walk or bike on to the ferry. The cruise from Anacortes to Orcas Island takes about 1 hour. Because our wedding is during the high season on Orcas Island, making a reservation for the ferry ride is necessary, both to and from Orcas Island, but only if you plan to drive on to and off of the ferry. A reservation is not required if you plan to bike or walk onto and off of the ferry. We'll email you in the months before the wedding with all the information you need to make sure this happens smoothly!
