August of 2017, Brian moved into a house with 5 other guys and I moved into the house next door with 7 other girls. We were all serving at the same church, which was right in our backyard. We were all friends and ended up spending evenings together playing games, baking cookies, going to get get tacos, covering Brian's car with snow... you get the point. We must mention that everyone in the houses were all couples except for 2 girls and 2 guys. Brian and his buddy made a pact that they would not date a girl next door, and if they did, the other guy would move out the next day. So they were serious. But Nique and Brian kept eyeing each other. Kept having game nights. Eventually Brian texted asking to come over and I knew what would happen. He shut the door behind him and said "wow my heart is beating so fast." The only other time it beat so fast was right before he proposed. We're so so thankful for you and the role you play in our relationship. Neither of us would have this much confidence in getting married if it wasn't for our Heavenly Father orchestrating our lives and the support from our family and friends.
