How We Met

April of 2017

Brian was on his way home from vacation. Courtney was planning on staying in with her son. They both were somehow convinced by their friends to go out that night. Little did they know, fate was bringing them to the same bar, Syracuse Suds Factory. Courtney saw Brian from across the bar and asked her friend who he was. That friend just happened to be friends with Brian as well. She went up to Brian and told him that Courtney thought he was cute, but as a new single mom approaching a guy was not her plans of the evening. With enough liquid courage, Brian went up to Courtney and little did she know he already knew about her and Mason. They had been friends on social media for a while and he was already interested. He complimented her and her beautiful baby boy and asked her out on a date. Blue Tusk was the location; Pinot Grigio and Blue Moon were the drinks of choice. The rest is history.

The Proposal

September 26th, 2021

Brian, Courtney, Mason, and their best friends Ally and Cody planned on having a fun fall day at Springside Farm in Pompey. There are so many fun filled activities there, especially for kids. Upon arrival they decided that the first stop of the trip would be the corn maze. This wasn’t just any ordinary corn maze – this one had a mission; they had to find eight posts with different colored crayons in order to complete the maze successfully. Mason led the way and he found six of the colors; he was into his mission and began to run ahead. Courtney started to run after him, but stopped when she heard someone say “Court” from behind her. She turned around and there was Brian, down on one knee. Her only response at the time was a shocked “shut up” and a burst into happy tears. After telling Brian to shut up a few more times she finally said “yes” and Mason did too. A second mission at the corn maze was accomplished.
