No, absolutely not. In fact, we forbid it. We don't need anything else to clean, dust, pack or find a place to store. Seriously. DON'T DO IT. Instead, you can donate to the honeymoon fund, if you want to. Only if you want to but if you don't, we know where you live.
We do want everyone to be comfortable so we would prefer you didn't wear jeans. However, if that is what is best for you, by all means do you. Otherwise, smart casual is the way to go. We'll just be happy to see you there!
Because it's a weekend, they do prefer you book two nights. However, if you only want one night give us a call and we can get permission from the lodge. But really, you don't want to be there for ALL the fun?? Just sayin.
Yes. Buffet food will be served. Will update once we decide on what.
Will there be .... ok, who asked this question?? Will there be alcohol? Have you met us or our friends or our families??? OF COURSE there will be alcohol. There will be a mix of host and cash bars. Details to come.
Well, it's mid-November in Arkansas so it could be 80 degrees or it could snow. Seriously, it's done both just in the last 5 years alone. That being said, we anticipate mild temperatures so I would bring a jacket or layers since we will transition from outside for the ceremony to inside for the reception. If it rains we will have a plan B.
Both the ceremony and reception will take place at the DeGray Lake State Park Lodge. The ceremony will be outside on the lawn (weather permitting) and the reception will be indoors.
The wedding party will be taking photos for about an hour after the ceremony. There will be board/card games at every table in the reception area and the cash bar will open. Go play, have fun and we'll join you as soon as we can.
Well other than kick yourself for not being at THE social event of the year and being ridiculed for the rest of your days, really just be sure and let us know via the RSVP option. We truly hope you can make it, but, trust us, we understand life happens sometimes. Just know you will be missed.
If you're not staying at the lodge with us, we recommend arriving at least an hour before the ceremony, just to make sure we can get everyone seated and get the party started on time.
While we would like to allow everyone to come, we ain't rich so we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.”
We do have rooms blocked off. We will do our best to ensure everyone can get a room at the lodge. For all the room info please see our Travel tab. It will include cost and booking information. If for some reason we fill up the lodge, there are a ton of cool places to stay in Hot Springs, which is about 20 miles from the Lodge.
We'll have to check with our WITSEC relocation Marshall .... TBD
Texting is usually the best way to reach us. If you don't have our numbers ... well then how did you get invited to this shindig anyhow??
Yes. Please do. In addition there will be a gift bag with a souvenir and some goodies for each invited attendee as well.
UUmm ... we ain't!! That's right, no where. Anyone who brings a present will be ridiculed and made to do the dance of shame. Read the website peeps! We don't need no steenkin' presents!! As we have mentioned in several other places, we do not want gifts. While we appreciate the thought, we already have that. Yep, that too. In fact, we have two of those. Seriously, instead of gifts we ask that you donate to the honeymoon fund we have set up, if AND ONLY if you really want to.
Please RSVP no later than September 25 so we can get a final head count for food and alcohol. RSVP online only as we are doing virtual invites.
