We're getting married

If you Google “Invisible String Theory,” the best result would be Brian and Cara’s love story. Back in 2017, Brian was in Disney World running a marathon, Cara was there and saw the race on a mom and daughter trip – not even knowing that her future husband could’ve run right past her. That was the one of several near misses. Both Brian and Cara were at Hot 99.5’s Jingle Ball concert in downtown D.C. in 2016 with The Chainsmokers and in 2021 for the Jonas Brothers’ historic comeback. The swings and misses also hit the diamond in D.C. as the two were at at least four “Pups in the Park” Nationals baseball games. Their three pups – Neville, Harley and Copper all attended those games sitting mere rows apart. Brian and Cara’s invisible string finally cinched in April of 2024, when they were both swiping for love on Bumble and matched. They instantly connected on a love of Disney and pups. The timing was perfect as Cara was planning a move from all the way across the river to Falls Church, Va, just a 12-minute drive from Brian’s hometown of Arlington, Va. Eliminated distance as any obstacle. In just a year of dating, Disney and the pups continue to be a linchpin as they have gone on two Disney trips – including one where Cara did catch Brian running the marathon and an engagement celebration. The pups are a bonded trio and the center of their world. Brian and Cara’s first near miss was in 2016, but in 2025, it proved to be well worth the wait.
