Brian was living in Wyoming; Cama was nine hours Southeast, in Omaha. They met on a popular dating site, and to this day have no idea how they matched (distance preferences were set to <50 miles) #divineintervention. After a brief online correspondance, they arranged to meet in Fort Collins, CO. Within hours, both parties knew that this was something special. Brian asked Cama to go steady. She laughed, and then agreed. For the first few months, the two traveled to see each other as often as possible. In late fall, Brian moved to Omaha to be closer to Cama. The two have been inseparable since.

In less than 2 months after I met her, I knew Cama was a forever kind of love. I "jokingly" started dropping hints about what kind of ring she might like and she responded with a video narrated powerpoint presentation. Apparently, she had been thinking about forever too. The ring arrived in my mailbox long before I even arrived in Nebraska and then it was just a waiting game. Together we traveled to Hurricane, Utah to meet her parents and I was blessed with some time alone with them to formally ask for their approval to take things to the next level. I planned a time near, but not too near, Christmas because I knew she would never expect it. Making sure to downplay any possible engagement talk and focus on the holidays. My plan was to find a beautiful/unique spot in Omaha's botanical garden, only to find out(after we had already showed up), that most of the gardens were closed. I called an "audible" and went to plan B. The city park where they have their Christmas tree. It was quite a blistering night and I had to do some convincing to get her to go for a walk outdoors. When we got near the tree I suggested a quick photo and asked the first passerby, an elderly couple, if one of them would mind taking our picture. The husband quickly agreed, while the wife said, "You can do it, I'm going inside!" Cama quickly gave her hair a fluff(gotta get camera ready, am I right girls?!?). When she turned to pose with me, she found me on one knee with a ring staring her right in the face. Emotions flooded on both sides and she pushed out the words, "What?? Now?? Is this really happening?" Yes....yes it was. She eventually said yes, and we did finally get our picture, complete with fogged glasses from happy tears.
