Brian and Brenna's love story began in college, where they met through mutual friends. Brenna worked in catering, and Brian was a line cook—a pairing their friends deemed a match made in heaven. As it turns out, they were absolutely right! Their first big outing together was a date dash, themed "Malibu Revival," in September of 2016. They had a blast and continued to spend time together, building a strong friendship throughout their remaining college years. Then, on the night of their graduation, Brian FINALLY asked Brenna to make it official and be his girlfriend. From that moment on, they never looked back. After college, life took them in different directions. Brenna moved to Olympia for a new job, while Brian stayed in Bellevue, and they navigated a long-distance relationship for about a year. Eventually, Brenna found a new job that allowed her to move closer to home. About a year later, in October of 2019, they took the next step and moved in together with Brian's older brother, Blair, and their beloved dog, Chester. Their apartment complex, the Town Squire apartments, quickly became a mini-version of Friends as several of their college besties also moved into the complex. During their time at the Town Squire apartments, they experienced the ups and downs of the COVID lockdown but made the most of it by trying new hobbies with their friends. They briefly explored mountain biking before transitioning to road biking, which stuck as a favorite. Rock climbing was another short-lived adventure, but hiking, houseplant gardening (with most plants still thriving), and cooking became shared joys. Most notably, they discovered a deep love for skiing. Brenna brought Brian along on her family ski trips to Whistler, where he initially trailed behind on his snowboard. But after some convincing, he switched to skiing—and soon enough, he was racing past most of the family on the slopes. In March of 2023, Brian knew he was ready to take the next step. On a cloudy ski day at Stevens Pass, he proposed to Brenna, marking the beginning of their next big adventure together. In February of 2024, the couple then bought their first home together in Lynnwood, WA, and at the same time, added their newest family member, Charlie the wiener dog! Now, after a wonderful engagement, they are overjoyed to start their next journey as newlyweds, excited for all the adventures to come!
