We met just two weeks into our freshman year at DMACC in 2021, and from the very first time we hung out, we talked for hours. Not just “getting to know you” hours — we mean hours that somehow felt like minutes. It didn’t take long to realize we’d found something special, and honestly, we’ve been inseparable ever since. College brought so many memories. We got our dog Ophelia (our pride, joy, and full-time spoiled princess). Along the way, we balanced jobs, long study nights, and plenty of life changes — and we still somehow made it all fun. After graduating from DMACC in May 2023, Avreeanna took a gap year to travel and work full-time, hopping between Iowa, Puerto Rico and Texas and spending her days in rice paddies and corn fields. Meanwhile, Brian transferred to Iowa State, where he was buried in textbooks, spreadsheets, and accounting exams. So while one of us was out chasing sunshine and farming adventures, the other was sending stressed student selfies from home. Somehow, even with totally different schedules, we made it work — and it only brought us closer. We eventually both found our place at Iowa State University. Brian dove into Finance and Accounting, while Avreeanna found her home in Agronomy. We’ll proudly graduate in May 2026, right before the wedding countdown hits full speed. In November 2024, Brian asked a question that instantly got the easiest “yes” ever, and now we’re counting down to saying “I do” in October 2026. Through every chapter — school, jobs, travel, puppy parenting, celebrating wins, and laughing through chaos — we’ve become each other’s missing piece. We’re the perfect team, blending humor, hard work, love, and a little bit of “organized chaos” into a life that feels completely ours. We can’t wait to celebrate our next chapter with all the people who have supported us along the way.
