What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal dress is appreciated. For men, suit acceptable but please no chinos or jeans. For women, jumpsuits or floor length, midi, or cocktail dresses with chunky heels or wedges recommended. Blooming Hill is a real working farm - we suggest clothing choices that are comfortable and shoes that can withstand grass, mulch, pea-stone, and decking. The tent will be closed with heaters as the sun goes down, but an additional light layer could be useful for marshmallows by the campfire.

How do we get to and from our accommodation?

Answer

If staying at the Sleep Inn & Suites, transportation to and from Blooming Hill Farm will be provided. More details on this to come later... Uber & Lyft are available in the area for transportation to the farm. However, we do not recommend relying on ride-sharing apps after the event. Please plan for at least 20-30 minute wait times for Uber or car services. Scheduling Uber/Lyft is always an option as well. Here is a list of taxi services, recommended by Blooming Hill Farm. If I'm flying to New York, how do I get to Monroe, NY?

Answer

Driving will be easiest. There are many car rentals available at any airport. Please see the "travel" tab for more details on other modes of transportation should you wish to take the train.

Where else can I stay besides the Sleep Inn & Suites?

Answer

There are many adorable Airbnbs and traditional bed-and-breakfasts in the area. We encourage you to search around! Below is a list of more traditional chain hotels as well. Can I park at Blooming Hill Farm?

Answer

Yes! Parking is available and staff will direct you accordingly upon your arrival.

I'm driving! When should I arrive to the venue?

Answer

Out of respect to the wonderful staff at Blooming Hill Farm, please do not arrive any earlier than 3:45pm. Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4pm.

What if it rains?!

Answer

It won't rain, Avery paid extra to guarantee it! In the case it does ... guests will be provided with umbrellas and our wedding proceedings will occur in covered spaces.

Can I ask your photographer for a photo?

Answer

We kindly ask you let our photographer capture the night as it unfolds organically. In lieu of posed photos, please utilize the camcorders, photo-booth, and disposable cameras to document all the fun you're having!

I'm coming up from the city, but no car! Help!

Answer

Do I need to select an entree?

Answer

Dinner will be served family style, so there is no need to select and entrée when submitting an RSVP. There will be enough of everything for everyone! If you are vegan or vegetarian, please reach out to Avery or Brian directly to ensure accommodations have been arranged for you.
