We chose to begin this chapter of our lives in a way that felt deeply personal to us, quiet, intentional, and shared only between the two of us. Our decision to elope came from a desire to be fully present in the moment, to focus on the commitment we were making, and to create a memory that was entirely our own. That said, this choice was never a reflection of the love and importance you each hold in our lives. Throughout that day, we carried you with us, in our thoughts, in our hearts, and in the gratitude we feel for the roles you’ve played in our journey together. We are so lucky to be surrounded by such meaningful relationships, and while you weren’t there in person, you are very much a part of our story.
