Our Story

Brian met Joe during their freshman year of high school when Brian and his friends decided to enter a Battle of the Bands competition and needed a drummer for their band, Backfire. Ariel met Victoria on her very first day of college. After attending her first college party, she recognized Victoria from their dorm floor meeting, and the two quickly became friends. Fast forward to 2022. To celebrate her birthday, Victoria invited Ariel and their friend Chelsea to go the beach. Since Victoria was dating Joe at the time, she encouraged him to invite a few of his friends so he wouldn't be outnumbered by the girls. Of all his friends, Brian decided to come along—even though he wasn't much of a beach person. During the drive, Victoria spent most of the trip talking all about Brian's random array of hobbies. By the time they arrived, Ariel was already curious to meet him. Once they did, the two hit it off immediately. A few weeks later, Brian slid into Ariel's DMs and asked if she wanted to go to Emo Nite with him, knowing they shared a love for similar music. Ariel said yes. Soon after, Brian realized Emo Nite didn't start until 11 pm and suggested they find something else to do beforehand. That "something else" turned into an all-day adventure: an 8 am hike in Bear Mountain, 6 pm dinner at JJ's Asian Fusion, 8 pm drinks at Barcade, and finally 11pm Emo Nite which ended at 4 am. Because she was technically heading into the woods with a stranger (albeit a friend of a friend), Ariel had her parents tracking her location just in case. What neither of them expected was that their first date would last 21 hours. After several more dates, Brian invited Ariel to go camping. Having never been before, Ariel immediately agreed. Then, on the morning of October 16, sitting beside an open campfire by the lake with cups of hot chocolate and ramen noodles in hand, Brian asked Ariel to make things official. The rest, as they say, is history.
