FAQs

Question

By when should I RSVP?

Answer

We need to deliver a final head count one month before the big day! We kindly ask that you RSVP no later than September 27.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Certainly nothing strict! You might feel most comfortable in cocktail-ish attire. The ceremony will be outdoors and the reception outdoors but in a covered, heated space, so you may want to think about bringing layers.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Check the travel section. Of course the Skamania Lodge, where we are getting married, is our favorite. McMenamins Edgefield isn't too far away, nor are White Salmon, WA and Hood River, OR - all with a variety of quaint digs. Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR are a bit further away but have plenty more options for all budgets!

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Brian and I will be at the Skamania Lodge from Saturday midday to Monday midday. We will want to take advantage of some of Skamania's offerings the day before the "big one" (they have zip lines, axe throwing, golf, an aerial obstacle course, running and hiking paths, a spa, pool, and two hot tubs!). We will plan to have a casual brunch in their restaurant on Monday morning and would love to see any lovely faces before we leave the lodge as husband and wife!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We appreciate you asking! Our registry is linked on this website. We expect nothing but are extremely grateful to anything you would like to contribute.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:00pm. If you arrive early for the ceremony, our Flower Girl will give you a flower to place on our altar. There is a restroom right off the lobby to the left of the grand fireplace.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

It's just a short walk from the Skamania Lodge to the ceremony site. There is a cleared (but unpaved) path that would accommodate a wheelchair. Transportation via a golf cart is available for a small fee.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

PLENTY! There is an absolutely ginormous parking lot with plenty of spaces. Feel free to pull around to the front lobby to drop off/unload and then park.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! We purposefully chose to make this a kid-friendly event as we know how important the tiny humans are to our loved ones (and we love them, too!). We will plan to have activities at the reception, but if your kiddo needs some extra distractions, you may want to consider bringing some of their favorite activities from home, too!

Question

I have a food allergy. Can I make a special request?

Answer

We will do our absolute best to accommodate! We already plan to have vegetarian, dairy free, and gluten free options available. Beyond these restrictions, please give us plenty of advance notice so we can discuss with our catering team.
