The moms, Tammie and Sue, worked together and became great friends. Sue threw a pool party and everyone came. Amanda was swimming in the pool and saw a gorgeous hunk on the patio in a group of people; finds out its Sue's son, Brian, and he was 23...she was 15...um ewwww. Families remain close for the next 19 years.
Amanda - Around 2003, while Amanda was in Beauty School, she met an eventually married her 1st husband. Long story short, it sucked. She finally divorced in 2010. Then met and eventually married her second husband in 2012. While it was great for a while and resulted in the birth of beautiful Kodi Lyn, it eventually sucked even worse than the first. Amanda divorced again in 2015 and became a single mother living with her mother, Tammie, in Johnstown. Brian - Around 2002, Brian began a relationship which resulted in the birth of their amazing daughter, Miss Allie Faith. Brian eventually married Allie's mom and adopter her wonderful son, Andrew. Unfortunately, they grew apart and decided to divorce in 2017. Brian then moved in with his parents, Sue and Larry, who soon after decided to buy a beautiful home in Johnstown near her best friend, Tammie.
Sue and Larry always held Christmas eve at their home, and Amanda and Tammie always came. This particular time though, Amanda and Brian were both newly single and a spark caught between them. Some small chit-chat and texting ensued for a few months. They continued to become close. Finally at another family get-together, Amanda asked Brian if there might be something more than friendship in their future. To her surprise, he said yes; but, with Brian being the ever-faithful man that he is he did not want to start anything until his divorce was final. With Brian and his parents moving to a new home in Johnstown, Amanda and her mom came by often to help with the move. Brian 's divorce was becoming final, and they went on their first official date on February 13, 2017.
Brian picked Amanda up and they went to Bent Fork for their first date. Even though Brian had stated he wanted to take it very slow for their children's sake, he laid the first kiss on her after letting her out of the car (before dinner!) They ate and sat by a fire outside, talking and sharing a cigar. Again, while it was planned that all go slow, they couldn't stay away from each other; and Amanda moved in in June. They never fought and loved working together in the yard and spending time with family. They celebrated each year together at the same restaurant; and on their third anniversary, after dinner, Brian walked Amanda next door to Kay Jewelers to pick a ring.
