Who knew social media would be the reason we would be getting married? I was scrolling on Facebook and saw Briana's profile pop up. I had seen her around school and knew of her, but didn't really know anything about her. So, I decided to write on her wall to see if she would respond. And, she did. We started talking and became best friends instantly. We have been in each other's lives now for almost ten years!
Briana's Proposal I had been planning our engagement for years. I just needed to figure out the perfect way and time to do it. Since marriage had already been the topic of discussion, I conjured up a way for her to pick out a ring without raising suspicion. We looked at rings many times and and she'd always pick the same one. That's how I knew it was "the one." I then had to do what most people fear, TALK TO THE PARENTS. Who knew it'd still make you nervous after 7 years. When the time got closer I worked on a homemade Disney movie featuring all the ways I felt about her. We arrived at our high school where her brother was currently performing in a show so she had no idea what was about to happen. When it was over I brought her on stage for something she’d never forget. With the help of a few friends and family and a whole lot of courage I asked her to marry me. Nothing could've made the night better than hearing her say yes. Whitney's Proposal Briana and I had been talking about getting married for a few months. We both knew we wanted to get married, it was just a matter of time for the proposals. I wanted her to propose and she wanted me to propose. So, I decided that since I would be seeing her soon, I would propose during pictures that we would be taking. I purchased a ring in October. I shared the information with some family and friends and no one seemed excited, which was really bumming me out. Come to find out, Briana had plans of her own. She proposed to me the day before I planned on proposing to her. On the 16th, we went to take pictures (which Briana had planned on being engagement photos) and I proposed while taking pictures and it couldn't have been more perfect.
