I dropped Cruz off for school and decided to check the mail app for the daily mail. I eyed a piece of mail from a jewelry store and thought it strange that I had never seen that before. I became excited thinking that there might be a ring attached to the mail. I instantly sent the mail copy to my friends, not knowing that they would give him the heads up. In the days leading up to my Birthday trip I became more and more anxious. I was excited thinking about the ring or was it the earrings that my friends were trying to convince me it was. On the 23rd I woke up to open my gift and I was devastated but I tried to put on a happy and appreciative face. I went and cried to my friends, then after a pep talk I quickly realized I have real diamond earrings. Later that night we went to dinner and watching everyone sing happy birthday, the waiter sat down a desert with what I thought read “happy birthday” but in total shock, I mean I almost choked after I read “will you marry me?” It was the absolute best way I could’ve imagined.
