Our friend Erika set us up on a blind date. We went out for sushi and instantly knew that there was "something" there when we both raised our eyebrows at one another while listening to the waiter overly explain the sustainability of his fish. We continued that date for another three hours and bonded over hiking and bad 90's music. Here is to a lifetime of bad music choices and sustainable sushi!!!
We were hiking in the Grand Canyon with a group through REI Adventures. It was day 3 of the trip, we stopped at Papago Beach alongside the Colorado River. Everyone was relaxing, eating a nice lunch and enjoying the postcard like feel of being inside this miraculous place. Max and Bri were sitting on a rock together eating trail mix when he pulled a bandana out from behind his back (the same one he had been wearing on his head for two days); quickly pulled a ring out and asked Bri, "will you marry me?" Bri responded with a surprised look on her face and asked, "what are you doing?" Max then said, "I'm proposing...." Bri instantly said, "YES" and took a nice walk alongside the river basking in their new reality of happily ever after.
