Two paths at Virginia State University, so close yet unseen, Until Richmond brought us where we were meant to be. A friendship formed, then time drifted us apart, But never too far from each other’s heart. Years later, one dinner, post-COVID and true, Sharing old stories, we finally knew. What once was friendship grew into our song — After that night, we’d been inseparable all along. From almost to always, from then to forever, We found our way home — to each other.
