It’s funny how sometimes it’s the right person, but the wrong timing. My roommate at the time knew, as best friends do. She told me, "I really think you’re going to like this guy." And unbeknownst to me, she said the same thing to Chris about me. Our first “meeting” wasn’t super glamorous—no fireworks, intense stares, or perfect outfits. Just a FaceTime call while he was working at Burger King—yes, Christopher was the king of burgers. The first time we actually met in person was at Clemson, and it was great. Chris is hilarious, and anyone who knows him knows that when he walks into a room, he just commands it. But even then, it was the wrong timing. For the first two years of college, we weren’t super close. We just saw each other on random occasions while spending time with mutual friends. Everything changed at the end of our sophomore year. I was invited on my roommate’s annual beach trip, something they did every year at the end of the school year. I almost didn’t go, but something in me told me I had to. And guess who was there? Chris (looking cute as ever). And that’s when everything clicked. Like any love story, there was a point when Chris said he wasn’t going to date me—it wasn’t part of the plan. But the Lord, in all His mercy, made sure that wasn’t the case. And now, two years later, we’re looking at forever. In these two years, we’ve shared so much together—lots of laughter and competition. Our love story started over a game of ring toss at the beach (I lost, by the way), and it’s continued through countless rounds of darts, corn hole, board games, and card games. We love to work out and cook together, and most importantly, we continue to chase Jesus together. So here's just a little bit about us... I truly believe I’m the luckiest girl in the world, and I can’t wait for this next chapter in our story. The best is yet to come!
