We chose The Loving not only for its beauty, but for its meaning. Named in honor of Richard and Mildred Loving—the couple whose landmark Supreme Court case ended bans on interracial marriage—it’s a venue that truly celebrates love without limits. Once a historically Black church, The Loving has been thoughtfully transformed into a warm, inclusive space inspired by its founders’ own cross-cultural love story. For us, it represents unity, courage, and the kind of legacy we hope to build together. We know it’s a bit of a drive, and we are so grateful to those making the journey. This place holds deep personal meaning for us, and we believe the setting—and the love we’ll all share—will make it worth every mile. Thank you for traveling this road with us, in every sense.
Our wedding day will be relaxed, romantic, and full of joy. We invite you to embrace a “dressy casual” style—polished, but not overly formal. We kindly ask that white be reserved for the bride. We’re so excited to celebrate with you!
Our ceremony begins promptly at 5:00pm. We kindly ask guests to arrive by 4:30pm and be seated by 4:45pm so you don’t miss a single moment of the magic!
Our vows will take place beneath the open sky, with the celebration continuing indoors right after. Please dress comfortably for the outdoor setting—and relax knowing everything happens right there, no extra travel required.
No need to circle the block—there’s plenty of free parking right at the venue! A parking attendant will point you in the right direction so you can head straight to the fun!
Yes! We ask that phones and cameras stay tucked away during our ceremony so the only thing we see are your happy faces—not phones in the air. Don’t worry, you’ll get plenty of time for snapping pictures and selfies at the reception!
Rain or shine, the celebration goes on! If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll work with our venue to either briefly delay the outdoor ceremony or move it indoors. We’ll keep everyone updated on the day of—so get ready to celebrate no matter what the skies bring!
We’ll be celebrating with a cozy buffet-style BBQ dinner catered by The Cake Lady and Charcuterrie Too, featuring pulled pork, chicken, mac and cheese, baked beans, salad, and rolls. Guests can also enjoy fruit and charcuterrie during cocktail hour before dinner is served.
Yes! Our open bar will be flowing with a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options—so come thirsty and ready to celebrate!
Our dance floor will be out on the patio, right beside the main building. If the weather’s on our side, we’ll be dancing under the stars —the perfect backdrop for the night! We recommend bringing comfy shoes so you can celebrate without missing a beat.
Our celebration will begin to wind down around 10:30pm as we make our grand exit and the DJ wraps up for the evening. We look forward to ending the night surrounded by the people we love most.
