Our paths have danced around each other since high school. We moved in the same circles, sharing countless mutual friends, and even had eerily similar life experiences: Catholic school uniforms, a stint in sunny California, and a shared love for the same Pokémon. Despite all the parallels, their story didn’t begin until one magical night five years ago, at the Mizzou 2020 Homecoming Party at Ashley & Julian Harris's home. At the party, gathered around a glowing bonfire, Darryl (Woody) was watching Bree craft the perfect s’more: gooey, golden, and full of finesse. That moment sparked more than just marshmallows. Darryl knew he wanted to know "s'more" Our first date was a whirlwind of laughter and playful debates, including the first time that we ever had our favorite debate. Bree stood firm for the Backstreet Boys, while Darryl passionately defended NSYNC. Till this day, it is still a heated argument in their household. That night, on top of the Ballpark Hilton at the 360 Rooftop bar, the Lord set the stage for what would be the first page of our love story that would only grow sweeter. In April 2024, our hearts expanded with the arrival of our greatest joy: Darryl III, affectionately known as Tripp. This moment was very trying and really allowed us to deepen our faith. Leaning on God as we navigated the emotions of being in NICU for our son entered the world earlier than scheduled--God's Timing is the only timing that matters. Becoming parents deepened our bond and filled our lives with even more moments of growth, countless moments of love and abundant laughter. On December 31, 2024, at Dominic's Trattoria in Clayton, Missouri. Surrounded by our parents and son, Darryl proposed. Briana's favorite book series is Harry Potter, and 2 years into their relationship, he had purchased a wand necklace for her for Christmas. That necklace was used to open a golden snitch, which held a beautiful ring. The owner saw the proposal and serenaded them with an Italian love song. Now, Briana and Darryl are ready to make it official. On June 19, 2026, they will say “I do,” surrounded by the people who mean the most to them, including their son, their families, and their closest friends. They can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter of their love story with you.
