Our story began September 23rd. For us, it is a day that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. We met to rehearse with a group called the Dwelling Space in which we both were encouraged to join through our mutual friend, Jayne Walker. During that meeting, London did everything in his power to keep his eyes on the floor, the walls, the kids running around, anywhere… because everytime he looked up, he saw something so unexplainably captivating, Briana. Briana was sitting across from him, focused on the music being taught, seemingly unaware of what was happening across from her. As the rehearsal went on, Briana was invited to sing with London and his church family as they ministered through song a few hours later. During that time of worship, the Spirit flowed insanely rich and powerful as they rendered the voices to the Lord. Later that night, London walked Briana to her car (as the gentleman he is) and Briana gracefully said Thank You and told him that she appreciated him for doing so (with the brilliant smile she so effortlessly gives.) During the weeks to come, Briana and London saw each other multiple times for rehearsals, respecting each other as friends, while also having perplexing thoughts of how this newly formed friendship was budding. They would randomly text each “hey bro” or “hey sis” to inquire about leadership, share scripture encouragements, devotions or just offer prayer. On October 14, Briana and London were asked to sing together at another worship experience with their mutual friend, Rebecca Hines. From the moment London walked up the walkway they felt instantly drawn to one another, two magnets, almost as though there was an unstoppable force pushing them together. If you were a fly on the wall, you would think that they were the only two in the room. These two enjoyed a power-packed night of song & worship- praising, crying, and exalted God- their favorite thing to do. At the conclusion of the experience Briana slipped off to change for the Sweet 16 birthday party of her niece Sheniah, and that’s when EVERYTHING CHANGED… She came back out refreshed and excited in a black lace ball gown with sneakers, London couldn’t help but turn around and say “Look at you Woman of God, lookin’ like you lookin’!” Briana couldn’t help but to stop with her hand on her hip and smile— After that, they both exchanged flirtatious words and looks that lead to their first phone call, the following day, lasting approximately 6 hours. They haven’t missed a day together since… The Bible says in Mark 10:9- “Therefore what God has joined together, man must not separate." And that’s what they plan to do for the rest of their lives- to infinity & beyond. Thank you for supporting and embracing their love for each other!
