Things To Do

There is so much to do in this area everything from hiking Mt Equinox to shopping the outlets in Manchester, so these are just a few suggestions. If you are staying at one of the inns they all have great suggestions of things to do, and we found the Airbnb hosts to be very helpful as well.

Hermit Thrush Brewery

29 High Street, Brattleboro, VT 05301

Vermont is known for its breweries, and this is one of our favorites! Right in the heart of Brattleboro this is a great place to try some sour beers. Be sure to download the Vermont Brewers Associations app so you can keep track of where you have been and see where the closest breweries are located.

Long Trail Brewing Company

5520 U.S. 4, Bridgewater, VT 05035
, (802) 672-5011

You may have seen Long Trail beers in your local liquor store, these guys have a great variety of beers and a great vibe! Be sure to download the Vermont Brewers Associations app so you can keep track of where you have been and see where the closest breweries are located.

Outer Limits Brewing

60 Village Green, Cavendish, VT 05153
, (802) 287-6100

This is a pretty new brewery that we visited last summer, they have lots of options and make great pizza! Be sure to download the Vermont Brewers Associations app so you can keep track of where you have been and see where the closest breweries are located.

Pittsford Disc Golf

Pittsford, VT 05763

Similar to breweries disc golf is huge in Vermont! If you have never played you have to while you are here! There are lots of courses around, but this is a particularly good one. It is a free 18 hole course that takes you through the woods, so bring some bug spray. If you need a disc they have rentals at the park (bring cash) or you can buy one at Dick's Sporting Goods in Rutland. You can't bring alcohol into the park, but once you are in the woods no one can really see you so... (Pro tip: Try not to throw your disk too high on the last hole it can be easy to lose your disc in the bushes as Brian knows)

Disc Golf at Hunter Park

410 Hunter Park Road, Manchester, Vermont 05255

For a closer disc golf course, hunter park is a great option! It is an 18 hole course with some wooded parts so once again bring bug spray.
