The two of us were on our individual paths with no intensions of finding a mate, let alone love when we first met. I had randomly come across Elisha on Instagram while following the gym she worked at and scrolling through pictures I saw a smile that caught my eyes immediately. We began to chat here and there via social media until one day we decided to meet for a casual meetup. It was with all intentions to just go and hang out with new people, as I had been trying to date and try new things. We had planned to meet at the climbing gym I belong to located in San Francisco between the water's edge and the Presidio to do a little climbing and chat in person. I arrived first and was anxiously checking my phone for texts saying she had arrived while also peering out the large gym windows to see if I could spot her. I had been "catfished" by a couple dates prior to this, so I was slightly anticipating a similar experience with Elisha. I spotted her as soon as she came through the double door entry. Her radiant smile jolted me and I was suddenly relieved and engaged. She was so friendly and genuine as we climbed and got to know one another over the next hour or so. After climbing, we probably both had in mind that we would go our separate ways and call it a win and a good day. The wind had other plans for us. We walked and talked for several miles to go and get Irish Coffees, sit on the beach to watch the waves and have dinner. All in all we spent about 9 hours together and the rest is honey and history.
