This story started at our close friends' wedding in 2021 where we met. Another friend tried to set us up at the wedding rehearsal dinner, so Bria tried to flirt with Terrance at the rehearsal and wedding, trying to get him to dance. He didn't budge. Bria let it go until almost a year later. She noticed that he commented on a lot of her posts and she liked what he had to say, so she decided to inbox him on Facebook. On July 5th, she asked him out for ice cream and to ask him a bunch of questions to get to know him. His response was that he was busy until September. As befuddled as Bria was, she decided to entertain waiting almost 3 months for a date. They set their first date for September 17, 2022, and talked pretty much every day from July 5th to September 17th. There was something about him that really intrigued Bria, and she really liked Terrance. The first date was something special. It started with Bria and Terrance meeting a neutral location and going to Yates Cider Mill. Terrance was 41 minutes late to the first date and Bria almost left, but something told her to just be patient. She waited for Terrance and when he got there, she noticed he had detailed his car. He was a true gentleman. He opened all the doors and when he opened the door to his car for Bria to get in, the first thing she saw was the reason he was late. He went to get a bouquet of long-stemmed red roses for Bria and he was the first person to ever buy Bria flowers. When she got in the car and she saw that he had her favorite water (Core Water) in the cup holder and she didn't even remember telling him her favorite water. On the way to the cider mill, a Michael Jackson song (You Rock My World) came on and it turned into a full karaoke session. They discovered how much they both loved Michael Jackson. It was the first time that Bria knew he was the one. It was the romantic date Bria had always dreamed up, but there is no such thing as perfect. Bria and Terrance changed for dinner at The Gathering Pub. Bria should've known by the name not to get super dressed up, but she did in this blue two-piece skirt and top set and black wedge heels. Terrance was still pretty casual. When they walk into the pub, Bria realized how overdressed she was, and the waitress thought they had just come from celebrating something. Bria was very embarrassed, but she and Terrance thought it was hilarious! Dinner was filled with lots of intellectual conversation and Terrance said he enjoyed Bria "nerding out" and found it to be sexy. They pretty much spent the night talking away and having a great time in each other's company. Bria asked Terrance if he wanted to go see The Woman King, her treat! He agreed, so the next day they had breakfast together and still laughing almost as much as all of yesterday. They went to the MJR in Troy to see The Woman King and Terrance ended up paying for that and the concessions, despite Bria's protest that it was her treat. They enjoyed the movie a lot and finally ended what was either a 2 part first date or a first and second date lol. This story could go on and hopefully will for a lifetime, but that is how it all began! They are even more in like and in love than that first date and it has been a beautiful journey of ups, downs, good, bad, beautiful, ugly, fun, laughter, fussing, fights, and blessings!
