Her Story One Friday night my friend, Dominique, was having a fire on Lake Esquagama. When I got there, a few of us girls were sitting around having some drinks and snacks. Dominique informed us that her (now) husband was on his way with her cousin Brian, and a couple other guys that I knew. When the guys walked in my first thought was that Brian was really good looking, and he seems really nice! What the heck, why had Dominique never introduced us before?! We got to know each other a little bit that night and I was definitely interested in getting to know him more, but I had to get the scoop on him from Dominique first! His Story It didn't take me long to realize that Bria had the hots for me... However, it took even less time for me to realize the same. After meeting Bria on that wonderful summer evening, I knew that I wanted to get to know her better. After finally gathering up the courage to ask her on a date, the rest is history. I finally found the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.
Brian officially asked me to be his girlfriend on New Years Eve of 2018. He asked me to be his wife exactly two years later. About a week or more in advance, Brian asked me if I wanted to go snow shoeing on the morning of New Years Eve and I agreed to it. He mentioned it a couple more times before the day came and I kept thinking it was kind of odd that he kept bringing it up, but didn't think any more of it. That morning came, and I asked Brian what time we were going to go and he suggested noon when it would be a little warmer. We then sat around for a couple hours *waiting* to go. I mentioned a couple times that we should just go now so that I could come back and take a shower and get ready for the day before the day was half over, but he was stuck on noon. 12 o'clock came around and we went over to his sister's house to pick up some snow shoes. Brian complained of how his boots were so cold from being in the garage and he wanted to let them warm up a bit before we left his sisters. So we waited some more.... (I later learned that a friend of Brian's was on his way to photograph the moment, so Brian was stalling!) Finally we were on our way to Ely Lake to snow shoe! We got a little ways out on to the lake and Brian said "Hold on a second, Bria, I need to zip my jacket." So I stopped and looked around the lake, it looked beautiful with all the trees frosted with snow. I turned to see if he was ready to continue and he was on one knee with a ring in his hand! He asked, I said yes, and we are soooo excited to spend the rest of our lives together!
