We are married!

This will be a reception only. We made the decision to elope at a private ceremony this October, which is quickly approaching! We apologize for never sending out "save the dates" in order to give you more of a heads up. However, we still want to celebrate our marriage with our favorite people. This is our wedding reception, but it will be held in a less traditional way. Think of it as a post-elopement celebration party that we are hosting for all of our friends and family. We hope you aren’t sad to miss out on the “I-do’s” but we promise to share pictures once we receive them.

Taylor and I met in the fall of 2020 through our mastermind of a mutual friend, Savannah. We remained friends throughout 1.5 years before deciding to officially date after a group ski trip to Colorado, which totally seems like a set up for us when looking back on it now. Our friends had also been rooting for us to date since before we officially met. Our first trip by ourselves was to Taos, NM in March 2022, where we had tricked a few of our friends into thinking we were eloping there. Something about that idea felt right to all of us, but it didn’t actually happen. Instead, we got blessed with our beautiful daughter and have been trying to keep up with her pace ever since. We have happily decided to elope (really this time) in the Great Smoky Mountains in North Carolina on 10/10. We are excited for this experience and to come back to Texas to celebrate our love with all those whom we care for. Seeing Taylor become a father and watch him love both of us in the most patient and tender way every single day makes this the easiest decision of my life. October can’t get here fast enough!
