If staying in the Norwich area, whether staying at Mohegan's hotel or not, Mohegan Sun has lots to offer. There are endless shops and restaurants inside, along with comedy shows and live music, bars, night clubs anddddd yes the casino itself. If you're looking to pamper yourself, book a spa service at the spa or visit the nearby Norwich Inn and Spa for another option. If staying at Mohegan's hotel, there are pools and you'll have access to the outdoor terrace.
Foxwoods is another casino 10 minutes away from Mohegan. Here, you’ll find the Tanger Outlets, which is a great place to spend your time and money if you’re not interested in watching the gamblers lose at the Black Jack table :) There is a store for everyone there, from designer to casual. Foxwoods has recently added a Hell’s Kitchen Restaurant and a zip line!
Looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the casino? Take a hike to Yantic Falls. In the city itself, we are a fan of These Guys Brewing for a brew and bite. We're hopeful there will be some events for the 4th occurring. Take a peak at the Norwich events website linked below.
30-40 minutes from Norwich- If you venture into Rhode Island you will find the true Atlantic, rather than the Long Island Sound you'll find at the CT shore. At Watch Hill you can spot Taylor Swift's beach house on the cliff. Yes Swifties you heard me right! Misquamicut has a few beach bars if you are looking to celebrate the 4th! Local dining recommendations: Hoofs, Longos, Grey Sail Brewery, Paddy's Beach Bar
