It was October 20th, 2024 at approximately 07:35PM, Grace, Jasmine and Maddison have arrived ahead of Allison back to their house to finish up with Jonathan and the rest of Allison's friends to set up for her surprise birthday party. Jonathan at this moment is trying to hold it all together when Grace walked through the door, for a moment he is shocked because one she looks like an angel but also on his way to their house he felt the Lord tell him, "hey, you're going to meet someone tonight." Jonathan only introduced himself to Grace and talked to her a little bit partially because he knew was there to celebrate Allison but also he could not get over her beauty. Grace at this current moment is not thinking anything but that she is meeting Allison's friends that she wanted to be there, and for the majority of the story she is completely oblivious to Jonathan's pursuit. And now, Jonathan does not know what to do, he wants to trust the Lord but also is wanting to ask her out because he has no idea when he is going to see her again. The Lord tells Jonathan to wait, to trust Him and He will work it all out so Jonathan does just that. Allison tells Jonathan toward the end of the night that the house girls are having a house warming party next week and Jonathan jumps at the opportunity to come. So, a week later Jonathan comes with flowers and chocolates (for all the girls) proceeding in his words, "to be a peacock." The only two things Grace remembers about Jonathan is, he was really funny and loud. That night is where Jonathan's pursuit of Grace starts, Jonathan pulls Allison and Jasmine aside asking them if Grace is talking to anyone, they responded with "no' but also tell him that they want him to come to the house more because they enjoy having "a brother" around. So, Jonathan asks if he could come over the next day and the girls say "yes." Jonathan comes over the next day and Grace thinks he is coming to hang with Jasmine but he really came to see and talk with her. Grace and Jonathan started talking about favorite colors and ended with how to rear children well with the Lord. After this, Jonathan and Grace did not see each other for 10 days which felt like an eternity for Jonathan but on November 7th, 2024 Jonathan was supposed to have a call with Allison to catch up but ended up with him over at the house. For the next 5 days Grace and Jonathan see each other which involved long intentional talks, a bag full of clothes brought late at night and Jonathan eventually telling Grace how he felt which ended up with them making it official a week later (November 20th). The next 6-7 months were filled with a bunch of laughs, learning each other, being refined, long walks and everything in between. At the end of April 2025 Grace felt the Lord tell her that He wanted time with them separately, which for both of them knew deep down what that meant but just took it as confirmation for Jonathan to go an 8-week mission trip for the summer. A couple weeks before Jonathan was going to leave, Grace and him decided that they were going to not communicate for the entire 8 weeks as an act of walking in obedience. Although a week and a half into the mission, Jonathan realized that they were walking in disobedience so him and Grace decided to break up for the remainder of the trip so that they could both walk in the fullness of what the Lord had for them. It was a difficult time for both of them but the Lord truly did a deep work in them for the next six weeks; He truly showed them a love for Him that overflowed into a love for each other. And when Jonathan and Grace got back from their mission trips, they decided to circle back on their relationship. In Grace's words "we were able to fall in love again with a person we already knew that we loved." So, on November 16th, 2025 Jonathan asked Grace if she would be his forever and he would be hers forever. And that is how a Guatemalan boy fell in love with a blonde-blue eyed girl.
