Nick and Morgan were both serving in the Navy and stationed in Jacksonville, FL when Nick introduced himself to Morgan at the command Thanksgiving luncheon. They connected over their mutual love for tattoos, breweries, North Carolina and discovered they were both born in Massachusetts and were lifelong Red Sox fans. They went out for their first date that evening to Wicked Barley Brewing and they have been inseparable ever since.

Nick proposed to Morgan on December 3rd, 2021 on the dock of Wicked Barley Brewing where they had their first date in November of 2019. He kept the surprise by having his Dad and Step-mom in town for "early Christmas". After Nick proposed, Morgan turned and saw her Mom, brother, and two of her best friends cheering from the bridge above!
