Question

Don't Forget to Pack!

Answer

LOTS of Sunscreen - the hotel stores charges $18 a bottle (trust me, I know) Cash in small bills to tip hotel staff, bartenders, etc. US currency is accepted at the resort and the majority of establishments outside of the resort.

Question

Do I Need A Passport?

Answer

Yes! If you don't currently have a passport, be sure to give yourself enough time to complete the application process. As of October 29, 2021 routine processing is 8 to 11 weeks and expedited processing (for an additional $60) is 5 to 7 weeks. If you already have a passport, please be sure to check the expiration date. Average processing times tend be the same for new applicants and renewals.

Question

Can I Drink the Water At the Hotel?

Answer

Dreams Riviera Cancun has extensive experience dealing with international travelers and making sure the food is prepared using only filtered, clean water that is safe for consumption. Bottled water is typically provided in the room to use for hydrating, brushing teeth, etc. Only filtered water that is safe for drinking is served in the restaurants so it should not be of concern to consume this water. Just avoid drinking water from the tap in your hotel room and using it to brush your teeth, etc. Showering is fine as long as it's not ingested.
