Two vegans walk into a summer BBQ....one asked for recipes, the other obliged. Three years and many adventures later they're getting married!

Emma's grandparents own a cabin in Canada that serves as their bi-annual family gathering place and stomping grounds. This secluded abode has been in her family for decades and has fostered bountiful memories for Emma and her family. In August of 2023, for his second trip, Brett traveled with Emma and her family up to Canada. They traveled by seaplane, piloted by Emma's grandfather, and landed on their serendipitous lake. With a ring in his pocket, Brett and Emma canoed to a small island on the lake for a picnic. Upon the arrival of a remote-controlled drone, piloted by Emma's cousin, Brett proposed to Emma with a heart filled with love and a stomach filled with a sandwich and BBQ chips.
