While we had grand ideas of a black tie wedding the reality is, it is summertime and Brette loves a good bold floral so please feel free to lean into the fun summer florals for a formal wedding! Bright fun colors and florals are welcomed and encouraged! For women - Cocktail or floor length dresses are fine! Wear comfy shoes for dancing. We will be outdoors on mostly paved surfaces for the ceremony and cocktail hour so take that into consideration when selecting the perfect heels. For men - We would love to see you in a coat and tie but you can certainly take that off when we get to dancing! For all - The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors so please dress for the weather. Also, we would prefer no jeans, please!
As you likely know, Rob loves the Grateful Dead and their Dancing Bears loom large among the band's visual lexicon. They were created as an homage Owsley "Bear" Stanley, the band's audio engineer, who oversaw the soundboard at most of their live shows and is responsible for the Wall of Sound (look it up). The bears first featured on the 1973 live album "History of the Grateful Dead, Volume One (Bear's Choice). They are also featured on Rob's left arm and they're fun! No, Rob did not have to convince Brette to incorporate them - she was excited to bring them into the fun too!
Your invite should have indicated if a plus one was included! If you have someone extra special in your life that just can't miss this moment, let us know and we are happy to see if there is any wiggle room.
To allow all guests a night of relaxation, we have chosen an adults-only celebration. However, if your little one absolutely can't miss the fun or it means you can't join us unless they are with you, then please let us know and let us see what we can do!
