Brett and Sherri met online in 2017—thank you Bumble! They were both on a mission and knew exactly what they were looking for. This won't come as a surprise to anyone, but they quickly bonded over their love for baseball and dogs. In fact, prior to knowing about Brett's baseball past, Sherri teased that she could probably throw harder than him. Brett's response was "Wanna bet?" Sherri later found out he was previously a semi-pro pitcher in the Indians' organization...good thing she didn't take that bet!! On a whim, Sherri hopped on a plane and met Brett in California for their 3rd date. For those of you who know Sherri well, you know that this is NOT a typical move for her. She's a planner and in no way spontaneous, but she was smitten! Cali went well, and a few dates later, it was official! As it turns out, Sherri had met her match. You have never met 2 more organized, Type-A people with a plan! From then on, they have been inseparable. Sherri moved in with Brett on the East side of Austin about a year after they started dating, and they recently bought a house together off Bee Cave Road. Things they love doing together include walking/hiking, laughing at their own jokes, making up songs that are mostly sung to their dog, and traveling! Over the past 3 years, they have traveled all over the US, have visited Mexico (twice), Spain, and even trekked all over Italy. Brett prides himself on the ability to surprise Sherri even though she claims that it's impossible. They are both incredibly excited to continue their journey into marriage and start a family!
