It all started when Sarah joined the hectic world of District 56 and crossed paths with Julie, one of Brett's awesome older sisters. So, on a chilly January 13th, 2022, Sarah and Brett had their first date at Matchbox, one of Sarah's favorite spots in Chicago. It was a total blind date, but from the moment they said hello, it felt like they'd known each other forever. They talked for hours about everything under the sun – from family to friends to Brett's obsession with his saltwater fish tank. And by the end of the night, they both knew there was something special between them. From then on, they were pretty much inseparable. Whether they were getting lost in the wonders of Jazzin' at the Shedd, chowing down on their favorite eats around town, or just chilling at home with Tubby, Brett's adorable canine best friend, life was just better when they were together. And then, on a beautiful day in May 2023, Brett pulled out all the stops. He treated Sarah to a day of pampering – mani/pedi included – before taking her on their favorite stroll through Lincoln Park. And right there, with the skyline as their backdrop, he dropped down on one knee and asked her to be his forever. Now, they're counting down the days until their big day at the InterContinental Hotel on November 9th, 2024.
