On a girls night out with my sister after going out for dinner we decided to stop by our local bar and I'm sure most of you know it, O'brien's. Turns out it was one of Brett's favorite bars as well! We talked all night exchanged numbers and that was the beginning of our great love story!

It was Christmas eve morning and we had just celebrated our Christmas with Brett's daughter Lyla, I was in the kitchen doing dishes and cleaning up and Lyla came up behind me with a gift. I assumed it was her gift to me from her, but as I was unwrapping the small box I saw the most beautiful ring and the words in the box read best friend on one side and true love on the other. I looked up and just saw Brett with the biggest smile on his face! He did not do the typical get down on one knee and say the words will you marry me. This way was just perfect!
