When I accepted the job as the art teacher at Martin Saints Classical High School, I felt like life couldn’t possibly get any better. I had been given a dream: a place where my love for faith and art could flourish side by side. One of the greatest unexpected blessings, however, was meeting Brett. Over the summer, we spent countless hours preparing our classrooms, sharing music, and — once the school year began — moderating lunches, building a friendship rooted in laughter, hard work, and shared faith. It was at the wedding of our colleague, Rose, in January of 2025 that everything changed. Brett asked me to dance, and before I knew it, I was being twirled and lifted through the air, laughing the whole time. That night revealed what had quietly been growing between us: God had been preparing our hearts for something more. From that night forward, our friendship deepened quickly and naturally. We found any excuse to spend time together — whether sharing a nostalgic game of Webkinz online or babysitting for a dear friend. Our first official date was simple and sweet at Cracker Barrel, where the pancakes were plentiful and love was in the air. Soon after, we shared our love for Christ together at Adoration before visiting the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It didn’t take long for us to realize what God had so clearly placed before us: a call to build a life together. Brett is my greatest joy, my truest friend, and the one who brings me a peace I had never known before. Our love is anchored in Christ, and through each other’s eyes, we glimpse the love of God Himself. We are so excited to celebrate the beginning of our marriage with you, surrounded by the family and friends who have prepared our hearts for a love so rich and beautiful.
