'Tis the Season to be Married!

The start of our love story was anything but conventional. It all started back on March 22, 2020. At the time Brett was down in Georgia finishing up AIT at Fort Benning. I was on my way home from a very bad date when I got a friend request on Facebook. The next morning I woke up to direct message from my new Facebook friend. From there we got to know each other through messaging, texting, and finally Facetimes. After about 10 days he finally got to come home. Our first date was driving around and just talking. Brett was leaving at the end of May to go on deployment. We had to decide if we what had started would be able to survive and thrive the 7,000 miles. I am so glad that we both decided that it would. And thus began our story.

Once Brett was home we started to really look at what we wanted for our future. This included both of us changing jobs, house hunting, and adding four furry legs to the family.

In December 2021 Kassidy's family decided to take a trip down to Florida over Christmas break. On Christmas day we spent the day at the beach on Sanibel Island. Later that night we went mini golfing. By this point Kassidy was getting a little deflated because she thought there was a proposal coming that day. She was seeing all of the posts from other people getting engaged. After mini golf, we went back to the house to grill for dinner and celebrate birthdays. Little did she know she just had to be patient. Brett popped the question after singing happy birthday!

We are very excited to celebrate with all of our friends and family!
