We first met in elementary school when Joshua moved in across the street from me. We quickly became close friends, even though he moved away not even a year later. We kept in touch at first through AOL instant messaging and video calls, but eventually we grew apart and lost contact for a while. We reconnected in high school and shortly after that, Joshua professed his love for me right before I left the country for a 12-day trip to Europe in the summer of 2012. I was hesitant to jump into anything, so we focused on our friendship first until Joshua officially asked me to be his girlfriend in February 2013. The rest is history, and I cannot wait to FINALLY marry my best friend.
