We both served missions in Alaska and crossed paths just days before Brett returned home to Colorado. Though we hardly knew each other at the time, we each felt there was something meaningful between us. We kept in touch and later reconnected in Texas after our missions, briefly dating long-distance while attending college in different states. Despite the years and miles between us, we never lost contact. In 2025, we found our way back to one another—still living in separate states, but ready to truly pursue what had always lingered. This time felt different. What began as a simple reconnection grew into something lasting and sure. We began dating seriously, a journey that ultimately brought us both to Colorado, where we are excited to begin our life together as a married couple.
