It all started on a Sunday afternoon in July, 2015 at the Guero's Taco Bar outdoor Oak Garden. Brett was there with her dad, Jim, and her dog, Butter. They were enjoying the summer sun, swinging tunes, and margaritas (of course) when Greyson entered the garden with his dog, Odin. It was in line at the bar when Brett noticed Greyson standing behind her. She turned and offered to buy him a drink... to which, he accepted along with the invitation to join her and her dad. Brett and Greyson hit it off, and so did Jim and Greyson. The three spent the day together, and Jim left the following day. But after that weekend, Brett and Greyson were inseparable and the rest is history.

As many of you know, Greyson and Brett have a shared love of nature and adventure. So what better way to celebrate 5 years together than embarking on a cross-country road trip from Austin, TX to Whitefish, MT in their converted '97 Dodge van named Brandy. On the date of their anniversary, they set out to conquer Stanton Peak - a 6-mile hike climbing 4,000 feet of elevation in the heart of grizzly bear country. Little did Brett know, there was the surprise of her life at the summit, and no, it wasn't a bear. Greyson popped the question and so began their next great adventure - a life of happily ever after.
