Gabrielle and Brett attended the same high school but never really crossed paths, largely because they were in different grades. That all changed one day when Brett, about to take the ACT, realized he didn’t have a calculator. Knowing that freshmen wouldn’t be taking the test, he decided to reach out to someone who might have one to spare. The night before the test, he sent Gabrielle a message on Snapchat, asking if he could borrow hers. Without hesitation, she said yes. The next morning, before school started, Brett found Gabrielle in the hallway, where she handed him her bright pink calculator. From that small moment, a conversation sparked, and soon, they were talking every single day. And the rest, as they say, is history!
