Multnomah Falls (1 1/2 hr. drive time)
Well worth the hike to the top!!! Then reward yourself with a visit to McMinnamins Edgewater. Great day and very near!!!
Newport, Oregon ( 1 1/2 drive along the coast)
Coast trip is a must... beautiful scenic drive and plenty of places to visit including Aquarium, Local Oceans Seafood restaurant, ocean seals along the coastline, and much more. Tillamook, Oregon (1 1/2 driving time from Carlton)

My favorite spot to visit for a cold craft beer is the rooftop at McMinamens. ALso, the Evergreen Aviation and Space museum is an experience too.
