Courtney and Brett first met in May 2018 on a vacation in Mexico for a mutual friend's birthday. During this weekend trip, you could count on one hand how many times they talked to each other as evidenced by the many photos that were taken with the two always on opposite sides. They would continue to see each other every so often when Courtney traveled to NYC for weekend visits to see friends. As time went on, it was safe to say the crushes on both ends continued to grow stronger. No one could have known that March 2020 would not be an ideal time to begin a relationship but clearly something about it worked for them. During the pandemic when the world was at a stand still, Brett and Courtney had lots of time for FaceTime dates and getting to know one another. This began a long distance relationship of almost two years before Courtney moved into Brett's Brooklyn apartment in December 2021. Within the year, a third roommate and furry family member, Shaq, came into the picture. And so began the start of their little family. The two got engaged July 2023 on a dream vacation at Goldeneye, Jamaica. While they have already made their marriage official with an intimate Spring courthouse wedding, it would not feel complete without a celebration surrounded by their many friends and family to bring on this new chapter. Brett and Courtney want to extend a huge thank you to all of their loved ones for helping them celebrate this special day from both near and a far.
